The Eighth Day with Facebook Ads

I tried to target people who are interested in languages and Chinese (learning Chinese) and I've supposedly received a total of 53 clicks (out of 407,104 impressions). So far, I haven't gotten a single purchase, even though the Rocket Chinese samples seem like a good way to learn. I changed my ad a little and changed the demographic I'm targeting, so hopefully it'll be more fruitful this coming week. I'll keep you posted.

Do Facebook Ads Work?

I'm not sure, but the stats sure don't look good. 302,497 impressions and only 38 clicks is only 0.013% CTR. For two advertisements starting 1/27/2010, it's cost me $16.95 for 40 clicks. Still no purchases coming from the ads...

Facebook Advertisements

So I just started doing CPC advertising on Facebook. I'm a complete noobie when it comes to this stuff, so I just set a limit of $20 for my daily spending limit and I have two (and one pending) advertisements up. Within a couple days, one has 42,779 impressions with only 6 clicks and a newer one (only active for a few hours) has 2,750 impressions with 1 click. I was considering doing Google Adwords, but as this is my very first blog, I didn't have a website to drive traffic to. Well, I'll keep posting about how it's doing and if I actually get any sales from doing this. I might post once a day (or more if there's a significant change) or once per few days to a week.

My Facebook ads are linked to Clickbank products like Rocket Chinese, Rocket Spanish, and the Truth about ads. I actually liked the sample from the Rocket Chinese.
